MORE than 20 previously unemployed workers have traded scanning the job pages for scanning vital NHS documents, after being recruited by information management specialists MISL in Hoddesdon.

The recruitment drive was supported by Work Programme provider Ingeus, which has supported 20,000 people across the East of England in getting back into work since June 2011.

MISL’s production manager Kirsty Brown said: “Some of the roles are quite technical but Ingeus had a good appreciation of the skills we were looking for and provided quality candidates for the interviews.

“We’re busy training for our new contract to begin and the team is doing really well.”

Ingeus regional director James Weait said: “We are absolutely delighted to have helped change the lives of so many people. Getting a job means so much to our clients, from the boost in their self esteem to the financial independence brought about from leaving the benefits system.”
